Chip Conley is a hospitality entrepreneur and a New York Times bestselling author. He managed to disrupt the hospitality industry twice: first time being the opening of his own boutique hotel company, Joie de Vivre; and the second when he joined the Airbnb team, where he was Head of Global Hospitality and Strategy for four years and today acts as the Strategic Advisor for Hospitality and Leadership.
As a speaker, Chip Conley addresses a wide array of topics, going from business talks, where he puts his insights on the business forefront at his audience fingertips, to the dynamics of the workplace relations between millennials and baby boomers. His company offers boutique hotels in the United States, being the second-largest company of the kind in the country.
He sold Joie de Vivre in , and has since thenm worked at Airbnb. His intervention on the hospitality industry meant first the popularization of a new type of hotels, and now a revolutionary collaborative approach on vocational and business accommodation. Conley has also established Fest, an online magazine on festivals. Moreover, he is engaged in different projects regarding hospitality quality and midlife crisis management.
